Its coming along nicely , hoping its going to be fun and i want people to enjoy my creation.

Need to get insulation boards for it from somewhere then stick it all together a little bit of paint touching up and thats going to be it

Started on the other side and obtained over the weekend supports to stop the item falling over

Latest idea is simple , going to paint another Mini ,it is exactly same as existing one they are going to be sandwiched together,in between the two boards i am going to fix two legs which will be bolted through the wheelnuts or hubnuts ,so will look authentic , this will stop the item from falling over and pewrhaps i can make it so the Mini is fairly high up, so when looking the viewer will not see any interference in thje image itself

Seriously thinking about changing my options and getting another 8ft x4ft board and cutting it out exactly same size as one already made , putting in a slim piece of insulation bpoard and attaching the two together with a perhaps blue Mini painted on other side, that way i can improve on some of the feautures i used on the red Mini as i am not completely happy with its visual impact but also dont think i can go any further with it as may detract from it in doing so .

The shiny one is latest, i like them both but think that the glossy effect suits it better given that the object is metal, nearly there now anyway, next job cut it out, once the paint is dry, and mount it on bigger board which more than likely will be white

dded some paint today, thinking the gloss look ,looks more car like ,and the underseal should bring out the desired effect.

Been thinking about the best way to maximise the visual effect of my Mini , suppose i better narrow it down to three options, option 1 Cut out the shape of the car , using it as template for reverse side ,painting in a blue Mini on reverse side , this can then be propped up somehow or hung from the ceiling so the viewer can see both sides  Option 2 is and this is unusual , find 4 old Mini wheels and tyres , and after doing much of option 1 bolt them through the timber where the wheels are ,thus it will stay up and also could be wheeled around  option 3 which i am thinking is the one i will do is cut the shape out , then get another white board and pack out the Mini somehow , this will give a or more of a 3d effect , the board will be painted white, as somehow i am thinking that the white background seems to look really good behind the Mini

Final Major Project

Work on the Mini is progressing, there are some decisions to make next week, do i cut it out and paint Blue Mini on other side for instance?The plan is to cut around the Mini, but i am not sure as i like the effect the white background has

Just had an epiphony ,i was confusing myself today about wether to paint my Mini red or blue, i have just came up with an answer, both ! I will cut around Mini , then use it as template for a Blue one , might even be similar to my invitation card, sandwich, but ofcourse might be heavy ,this is subject to time constraints .Been thinking about using Red side as Template , then build a frame the width of a seat, then it will become a cool Mini Seat or some kind of furniture, i am thinking furniture now , my painting in my mind is morphing into furniture.

Finally got started on final piece, went out to try and find paint, and while pricing emulsion, hit on the idea of using white silicone to relicate the Minis protruding metal edges and trims which are coated in a chrome or plastic ,think its working ,gives it that feel and it sticks out in the same way aa the real thing
